Join Annika Lundgren, one of the participants in the exhibition Ingen rök utan eld. Shout Fire!, to find out more about her artistic practice. Her work is often text or duration-based and the political and performative aspects, as well as storytelling, play an important part. She often works with spoken works, that oscillate between poetry and politic speech. Writing is central in Lundgren’s work. The artist explores the rhythm, sound and meaning of words and word associations as placed in different contexts.
Annika Lundgren is currently the artistic director of the artist-run performance platform Skogen, together with Johan Forsman. She has previously been active as professor in the Fine Arts department of Valand Academy. To the project Ingen rök utan eld. Shout fire! Lundgren contributes with the video work United We Stand – The Great Swedish Transition and the choir piece United We Stand - Negotiation and Democracy performed on the exhibition opening on 1 September and on Election Day 9 September.
